Congratulations and Welcome Stephanie and all the selected 2012 AFF ladies. Stephanie was featured by the Post-Tribune News. Be sure to check out the great article here.
We would also like to congratulate Heidi for her recognition in her home town. you can read her article here.

AFF is very proud to have this honor bestowed on them by Honorable Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. Governor of the State of Indiana, proclaiming October 1, 2011 "America's Female Firefighters Day"; and we also thank the City of Valparaiso and the County for passing similiar resolutions not pictured. A special thanks also goes to Dave Sauders, President of Valparaiso Firefighters L1124 for his amazing support.

So why post this you ask? Well for AFF's cover from 2008, this is Colleen's first commercial. In other exciting news for Colleen, she was promoted to battalion chief earlier this year at San Carlos Park Fire Rescue- "Way to Go".

It is with great joy, that America’s Female Firefighters, Inc. members presented burn survivor Ashley Alvarado with the first ever "America’s Female Firefighters College Scholarship For Burn Survivors" in the amount of $5,500; together with a subsequent $500 for books. This scholarship will allow her to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. This Scholarship could not have been possible without all the hard work of the 2009 AFF ladies, our sponsors, and most importantly our supporters! AFF proudly announces that it has disbursed an additional $38,000 from the 2009 calendar sales (bringing the total donated to: $42,000) to the following organizations: Children's Burn Foundation of Florida, Inc.; Children's Burn Camp of North Florida, Inc.; The Firefighters Burn Children Fund (North Carolina); Wisconsin Alliance for Fire Safety; Tampa Firefighters Charity Fund, Inc.; Fire Engineering Courage and Valor Foundation; Southeastern Firefighters' Burn Foundation, Inc. (Georgia); MUSC Children's Hospital Burned Children's Fund South Carolina Firefighters; and Richland Cadets, Inc. in Indiana for the benefit of Hoosier Burn Camp. It was AFF's desire to expand and diversify the organizations we contribute, as we recognize that our ladies and our supporters are from many different states and communities and we wanted to be able to give back to them- FOR WITHOUT OUR SUPPORTERS WE ARE NOTHING BUT YET ANOTHER CALENDAR. So thank you on behalf of all of us at AFF for your support year after year!
